I could not believe it when the images filled our TV screen. The devastation in Haiti broke my heart. My Mom, my Sister and I wanted to fly down and gather up all those babies and little children and bring them home. Since that is not possible I asked Mom if I could help. Our Church will fill containers and send to Haiti. My mission is to include as many jars of peanut butter (plastic containers-sealed) and pairs of sandals (with velcro or straps so they will stay on those precious little feet). I ask for your help. God is with us all. I am so humble that I am blessed and can do some small part for my brothers & sisters.
PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE OF HAITI
O Lord, hear us.
Our voices join the mournful songs and prayers rising above the ruins of the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince.
O Lord, we believe
That you hear the cries of the trapped and the injured. You cradle the dead and the dying. You feel the pain of the grief-stricken and the searching.
O Lord, we ask you
To pour comfort on your children who sorrow and sigh.
Calm all panic and despair.
Strengthen the weary hands of rescuers and medical workers.
O Lord, forgive us
and hasten our response to the poverty and greed
that render so many helpless in the face of disaster.
In Jesus' name........Amen
